Pat Summitt coached at The University of Tennessee for 38 seasons, on her way to becoming an 8x National Champion and winningest coach in NCAA Division 1 history; men or women. Summit owns a record of 1,098-208 in her 38 seasons. Summit stepped down in 2012 as she battled early-onset dementia (Alzheimer's type), a diagnosis she announced back in 2011.

Summit was called home this morning, ending her fight. She was 64.

The impact that she has left on the women's game will never be forgotten. She was truly an inspiration, she set the standard.
