A series ago it was the Golden State Warriors shocking the world after rallying to overcome a 3-1 series deficit and advance to the NBA finals. Now, looking like they had the Cleveland Cavaliers figured out with a commanding 3-1 lead, everything fell apart as the Cavs responded with a sense of urgency. The Cavs become the first team to come back from being down 3-1 in the NBA finals, and in doing so brought the city its first major sports title in 52 years.

The highly anticipated game 7 did not disappoint as Cavs won 93-89. The final spurt in the last 2:00 of game time featured both teams trading missed shots as the score remained dead locked at 89. A chase down block by LeBron James set up what would be a dagger three by Kyrie Irving over the outstretched arms of Stephen Curry. The Warriors failed to convert a basket on their next possession, thus fouling James where he sealed the game at the line with a free throw with just seconds remaining.

James and Irving were instrumental in all of the wins surpassing the 30 point mark on several occasions. Irving finished with 26, while James led the team on his way to finals MVP finishing with a triple double of 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assist.
