Isaiah Cousins 18pts 8/14fg, 7 asst, 4 steals

Tigers: Tim Quarterman 18pts 5/10fg, 4 asst

Craig Victor 15pts 6/12fg

It was a tale of two halves as the home squad LSU raced out to a 44-36 halftime advantage thanks to 58 percent three point shooting. LSU also managed to limit #1 Oklahoma to 41 percent shooting and just four free throw attempts early on. Tim Quarterman led the charge for LSU with 12 first half points. Buddy Hield paced his Sooners with 11.

LSU seemed to be in control leading most of the games before Hield & co. got hot. Hield led the charge with seven three point field goals in the second half to help the sooners comeback. Hield's hot shooting set the stage for Isaiah Cousins' late heroics. After an Antonio Blakeney helped LSU tie the game with 20 seconds remaining, the Sooners called a timeout to set up a play. Cousins ran the clock down before attacking and pulling up for a jumper over his defender giving the Sooners the two point advantage with four seconds to play. Sooners defense would hold up as they were able to escape with the victory.

LSU was lead by Quarterman's 18 points and four assist, and Craig Victor's 15 points. Ben Simmons and Blakeney also chipped in 14 and 11 respectively in the loss. Buddy Hield led the Sooners with a game high 32 points to go along with seven rebounds. Cousins finished with 18 points, seven assist, and four steals while Ryan Spangler chipped in a double double of 16 points and 10 rebounds.
