With All-Star weekend rapidly approaching and one set of voting numbers already in, I decided to add in my two sense and make my picks for starters.
East:
G Isaiah Thomas: Since joining the Celtics, Thomas has been averaging a career best in points, assist, and steals. He has led Boston to four straight wins dating back to 12/21/15.
G John Wall: Averaging a career high in points and steals this season. He's also running his team with the absence of back court mate Bradley Beal out with injury.
F Carmelo Anthony: This one may be a little biased as I am a huge fan of his. His offensive numers are down compared to what we are used to, but he has been displaying a more all around game show casing his strong rebounding and passing ability.
F Paul George: Since suffering that severe leg injury, George is back and muched improved averaging a career best in points on the season. Despite his recent seven game skid, George' play has been consistent for the pacers.
C Andre Drummond: With Greg Monroe being sent to Milwaulkee, Drummond has emerged as a force to be reckoned with posting career best in points and rebounds this season. As he goes, Detroit goes. He's arguably one of the best centers in the East and deserves the all-star starting spot nod.

West:
G Stephen Curry: No surprise here with the reigning MVP. He has been the best player thus far and his Warriors are off to the best start in NBA history.
G Russell Westbrook: Russ is avergaing a career best in assist, offensive numbers a few points down this season with the return of Kevin Durant to the linep, but Westbrook remains consistent leading his team to the third best record in the West.
F Kawhi Leonard: He has arguably emerged as San Antonio's best player posting career highs in minutes, points, freethrow percentage, rebounds and assist. He's the reigning defensive player of the year and continues to defend at a high level.
F Kevin Durant: Those foot injuries seem to be behind KD. Alongside Westbrook, he is helping the thunder to the third best record in the west.
C Anthony Davis: Despite his teams struggles early, Davis continues to compete hard. He's averaging a career high in minutes played, rebounds and enjoying an increased percentage in three point fg's.
*Note: Although these are my picks, based on recent vote totals and the announcement of his retirement, Kobe will most likely get the start for the West at gaurd.
